Ryujin T10 33″ Blade O-Katana – Hand Forged

The ‘O’ Katana by Ryujin Swords is an attractive, fully functional cutting sword suitable for the dojo, display, or backyard.

Made from 65mn Spring Steel (hard-wearing manganese steel), the blade of this sword has been differentially hardened to produce a genuine Hamon. It is then handed polished and carefully acid etched to bring out the detail that is normally only possible using Japanese finger stones. The end result is a lively Choji Hamon pattern that highlights the interplay between the yakiba (the hardened part) and the rest of the blade – giving it the hard and sharp cutting edge the Katana is well known for as well as the shock-absorbing qualities necessary to survive the heat of battle.
